Incomparable Experiences

The ending to our journey as a college student is near but my learning will always remain. As I will grow, I will remember the things that I learned especially the subject matter called Educational Technology 2. Based on my experiences on this subject, I can say now that this is one of my unforgettable subjects that I had taken up.

Different tasks were given to us and I guess some of it seems to be impossible to do and I kept on discerning about our teachers' way of thinking on why he gave us things like that but as what I learned from his own mouth that he just did those things for us to bring out our own very best. Precisely, it did bring out the best in me especially in drawing out my skills that will be helpful to me as a future teacher.

As this semester ends, those difficult challenges that  I experienced will always leave a mark because I will not learn something today without those hardships that I encountered because I believed in the saying "the bigger the challenge, the bigger the opportunity." Indeed, the challenges that I surpassed in this subject were able to taught me, helped me and molded me to become a better person and I can say that those experiences were meaningful to me. It also help me to be ready to face the new challenges in the future.

Aside from the things that I made mentioned, I learned new concepts such as the integration of the technology especially in delivering the lessons. As a future teacher, I should not limit myself in using these stuffs especially that through the use of these technologies learning would be easy in the part of the student as well as in the teachers' part which is teaching. With the use of these technologies also I can able catch the attention of the students especially that the 21st century learners are more acquainted with gadgets. With the use of those gadgets also it will be beneficial to their learning if I will engage them in different activities and if I can incorporate it with my lesson. Through this subject also I learn a lot of things that can be useful in my future career such as on how to edit video, the use of internet in a useful way such as the "edmodo" and lots of positive way that can give benefits to the students and to the teachers.

Educational Technology 2 also is one of the subjects that open my eyes in the real world scenario of the educational system here in the Philippines wherein most of the schools here are still stagnant to the old way of teaching and some of the teachers here are still not ready to adapt the change of teaching strategies especially when it comes to the integration of the technology. As a future teacher and as what I've learned in this, I should not wait for the other people to do it but I should make a move in bringing the technology in the classroom setting so that I can able to create and make a change.
